Josh 6:20 (NASU) So the people shouted, and [priests] blew the trumpets; and when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted with a great shout and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight ahead, and they took the city.

God told Joshua to tell the people to march around the city and not say a word to anybody. They could not even talk to their fathers or mothers or brothers or sisters.

The first six days they were to march around the city once. On the seventh day they were to march around the city seven times.

On the seventh day the walls of this great city fell down and the people went and took the city as God had promised.
