2 CORINTHIANS 10:3, 4, 5, 6.

HOW JESUS EXPECTS US TO PRAY

• Chapter 1

2 Corinthians 10:3,4,5,6,

V -3, Fore though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, V-4, For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds

In 1983 a friend of mine gave me a little pamphlet with these scriptures, a lady who

Did not give her name, said she had been praying for her family for years to be saved and she was not seeing any of her prayers being answered, A friend of hers told her about these scriptures, and she started praying the way Jesus has taught us in the Gospels, and she begin to see some of her family coming to the Lord, She started using God weapons of warfare and pulling down strongholds in her family with Gods weapons it's the only way you will be successful in your prayers I started studying and asking the Holy Spirit to reveal the revelation in these scriptures as I prayed,------

James 1:5,6, 7, 8,

V5, If any of you lack wisdom let him ask God, who gives to all liberal and without reproach, and it will be given to him, V-6-But.let him ask in faith, with no doubting for he who doubts is like a wave of the

Sea driven and tossed by the wind

V-7, For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord,

V -8, He is a double- minded man, unstable in all his ways

The writer Paul, tell us that we are human and walk as mere people,2-corinthians 10:7, "Do you look at things according to the outward appearance? If anyone is convinced in himself that he is Christ's, let him again consider this in himself, that just as he is Christ's, even so we are Christ's.

2-Timothy,3:16,

V-16, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness

Scriptures are one of Gods weapons of warfare and He put them in a book, the bible for His people to use for a successful life here on earth, and to destroy the works of the devil in your life and in others, by prayer.

Prayer is like guided missile that the army uses to destroy the enemy who they are

fighting, prayer is the launching pad for your requests; your request is the missile to be launched, with out a powerful warhead on this missile it has no power; so let us put a powerful warhead on this missile; What are Gods weapons of warfare? The name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus the Holy, Spirit, scriptures, faith, and above all love. And there are others, keep your Prayer simple.

Let me give you a testimony about using Gods weapons of warfare, When I was a very young Christian about three years, one Sunday morning in church our pastor told us to get into ;circles of five or six and pray for each other needs, as I stood there, no one was saying anything, ;0 I took the lead to ask if anyone had a need? On my right hand was a small Hispanic lady, she ;aid I do, she said I have had a back problem for some time, I went to a Doctor, they put me :through several test and x-rays, they said I had a tumor on my spin and it was not removable; my heart stopped, I though she had a headache or something simple like that, as I stood there frozen, with my head down my eyes closed a voice came to my ear, saying Matthew, 15;13, But He answered and said, "Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be up rooted. I must have read this scripture at some time, this is what the Holy Spirit does in our

lives, but you need to ask Him to be part of your spiritual life, as I stood with my head down my ~yes closed taking authority over Satan attack on this lady and standing on Matthew 18:19, "again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. As I prayed I saw this thing falling out of her ;pine, it looked a sweet potato with roots that had been cut off. The next Wednesday night at Church, this little lady came running up to me and grab me by the arm, and she told me she had been to the doctor Friday and had run more test and x-rays, and the tumor was gone. This is using Gods weapons of warfare, it will work for you! All we need to do is do it the Jesus way, !lot mans way!

John 14:6

Jesus said to them, I am the way. the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me.

The reason I am pointing out these scriptures, is for the fact that the Holy Spirit is the only way that can change the will of a persons, to pray any other way to pull down strongholds just can not be done the Holy Spirit is the only weapon that can pull down, destroy, and change a person will. You need to be bold in your praying, do not beg, use your authority, Jesus gave us His authority, be bold, read in Luke 9:1, Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons. and to cure diseases. He has given this to the church, if you are a born again Christian then you are the church, you need to practice being bold.

Mathew 11:12,

"And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

This scripture got my attention a few years ago, about 1996, I did not know what it was laying, I ask my pastor at that time, about it, he said I have no idea, I ask some one who had ~one to a very well known bible school, he said I do not know. Well when in doubt ask the one who does, the Holy Spirit! I ask Him to reveal the revelation behind this scripture, He began to ;how me scriptures that support this scripture, and He did, He knows what we need, but He wants us to ask. Jesus came to me in a dream or a vision and took me to a place where He and I stood, and I could see a large round top building, it looked like it was on another planet, and it reached from horizon to horizon, it looked like the this building was full of boxes, all sizes, big little all sizes, I could see a space where some boxes were missing, Jesus was standing at my right side, He said John, this is My Fathers store house, and you can see the boxes, these are the blessing of my Father, see the empty space where some boxes are missing, these are the few blessing that my people have ask for, I tell you that My people that are passive and unbelieving will not receive there blessing of My Father. This was the end of the vision, the Holy Spirit began to teach me how important Gods words are, and keep His words in our hearts. John l4:26, "But the, the Holy Spirit whom the father will send in My name, He will teach you III things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I have said to you; in Hebrews 1:16, Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. And in Hebrews 10:19, Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus.

John 14:26, "But the, the Holy Spirit whom the father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I have said to you; In Hebrews 4:16, Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of 2race that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. And in Hebrews.

Philippians 4:6,

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanks­giving, let your request be made know to God.

There are three words in this scriptures that are very important to the way we pray, anxious, it means not to worry about the thing you do not have, be thankful for the things you 10 have, supplication, String’s has many different definitions for this word, I like the one in Webster's dictionary, to ask for ( something humbly,) to make a (humble request,) this is 'reverence, not arrogant, requests, is to make a demand on something that is due, Jesus died on he cross and to make it possible for the new covenant and God wants us to come boldly in )prayer to make our request .

. Matthew 16:19,

V -19 "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

 

The strong man is strongholds in a persons life, you haft to bind the strong man in order to remove him and destroy the stronghold, then you need to replace strongman with the word of God, or the strong man will return seven times stronger

Jesus repeated this scripture in Matthew 18:18, to be bound, ( means to bind or tie up to be bound,) to be loosed is to, ( Break up to dissolve, to destroy,) Binding and loosing is a weapon of God warfare, these things are already bound and loosed in heaven.

Our prayers goes and comes though the kingdom of heaven here on earth, everything we pray for has been put in the kingdom of heaven the truth is that we must understand everything is done through the spiritual realm, every thing that Jesus died for us, is in the spiritual realm, it was put in the kingdom of heaven here on earth

John 3:27,

John answered and said, "A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven

Luke 17:20,21,

V-20, Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God, would come, He answered them and

Said: "The kingdom of God does not Come with observation;

V-21, "nor will they say, see here! or See there! For indeed the kingdom of God is with in you".

When you become born- again you become Gods child, and the kingdom of heaven becomes with in you, this is very new to your ears but, this is what the word of God says, all hat Jesus died on the cross for, is within you, when you pray you speak with your mouth, for what you are in need of. It is your words that open the door to the kingdom.

Matthew 12:28, 29

V-28, "But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, Surely the kingdom has come upon you.

V-29"Or how can one enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first bind the strong man? And then he will.

plunder his house.

LUKE 11:24,25,26.

 

V-25, "And when he comes, he it finds swept and put in order

 V -26," Then he goes and takes with him

seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first

. If you will notice I have proven every scripture with a corresponding scripture of the same text, this is way you get a full picture of the text you want to know, Satan is a very worthy opponent and he will defeat if you don't know your authority over him, yes Jesus defeated him Satan after His resurrection, but every Christian has to defeat him in there own life, you need to know satins weapons of warfare that he uses on you!

What the church must understand is that God our heavenly Father works in the spiritual world, not the worldly world, every prayer that is prayed, goes through the spirit realm, and the kingdom of heaven, you can find this in John 3:27, John answered and said, " A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. The church must learn to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

CHAPTER 2

2-CORINTHIANS 5, 6,

V-5," CASTING DOWN ARGUMENTS AND EVERY IDGH THING THAT EXALTS ITSELF AGAINST THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD BRINGING EVERY THOUGH

INTO CAPTIVE TO THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST".

The word arguments in the new king James version which I am using, but in the king James version this word is imaginations, it also can be, theories, your emotions, symptoms, or any other word that is contrary to what Jesus died on the cross for you and me. Your salvation is every thing that Jesus died for, He died for a much better covenant with much better promises, and we need to clean up our vocabulary and get all the negative words out thoughts and our being.

Matthew, 15:10, 11,

V-10, When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them,

" hear and understand;

                      V -11, Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes our of the mouth, this                                   defiles a man"

.
When we use words like, I will never for give them for what they did to me! or I just hate my job, these stupid bosses don't know what they are doing, or I thank I'm catching a cold or the flue! I need to make 20.00 dollars an hour to live on! or I will die of cancer before I'm 50 years old, every one in my family has died before they were 50, and with cancer, can. you see what these statements are saying, they exalting worldly statements, satins words over what God has said about you, there is no faith in these statements it is all unbelief,

Romans, 14: 23, But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for what is not from faith is SIN, so what ever comes out of your mouth is not from faith is exalting Its self against Gods Holy word!

We are called out of the world to be a special people, king James, Titus, 2:14, "Who gave himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. When I became a born-again Christian I soon discovered I had to change my vocabulary, I was very negative about every thing, and I began to see a difference in my life I began to have better days, better out look on life, now I never ever have a bad day, my law of the day was Murphy’s law, anything bed today will happen to me, but today it is Philippians, 4:13, and I can do all thing through Christ who strengthens, V-19, And my God "shall supply all my needs according to His riches glory by Christ Jesus". These two scriptures should awaken your Spirit and help you see that Jesus is your source as a Christian, not the world system, we are so integrated in the world system that Jesus will not and can not honor your request in prayer, for we do not live by faith but by what the world tells us, Romans, 14:23, But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is SIN. we can not pick and choose what scriptures we live by, but you must make a choice, live by faith or live by the world system. James 1:5, if any of you liberally and without reproach, and it will wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. V-7, For let not that man suppose that he will receive anvthin2 from the Lord. V:8. He is a double minded man. unstable in all his ways. This is very easy to understand, Jesus wants us to live by faith, I know it is not easy to put your trust in some one you can not see, fell, or touch, you received Him for eternal life to go to heaven, why then, you can not trust Him for good health, for healing, for good fiancées, good job, for a peaceful life. I can tell you why, the world system tell you every day that you need a flu shot, a pill, you need a credit cards more credit cards, all the things you are brain washed every day through T. V. commercials, news papers magazines, etc. it pits one neighbor against You see you don't need money for your salvation, there is no down payment there is no monthly payments, it's free, the price has been paid, and your salvation was paid in full at the!

Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be add to you V-34, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things, sufficient for the day is its own trouble. His righteousness here is His word, the bible, you can not receive all these thing if you do not know how to enter the spiritual realm of heaven, you must stand righteous before Jesus, the way this is done, you must forgive all who have done wrong to you

, MATTHEW 5:44, 45.

V -44, "I say to you love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who

hate you and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

V-45, "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not the tax collectors do the same?

You never hear teachers or preachers teach that you need to stand righteous before Jesus when we pray for our needs. The gospels are so watered down and deluded that

most Christians don't know how to use the covenant, Jesus died to give us, this is why I am pointing out so many scriptures

These scriptures are a few that tells us how to receive the promises of God, I found out a long time ago that you only get out of your Christian life , what you put in it. If you want the best, you need to be the best you can be, God is not going to force anything on you He wants you to ask, Hebrews, 4:16, Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. This is not a future need but a need for now, we need to know how to receive from God and the kingdom, every thing has to come through the kingdom of heaven, John 3:27, John answered and said, "A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven".

Matthew, 6:9,10,11,12,13,

V-9, "In this manner therefore pray our Father in heaven hallowed be your name,

V-I0, Your kingdom come your will be done on earth as it is in heaven V-11, Give us this day our daily bread V -12, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

V-13, and do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, for Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever,

These scriptures are a prelude to heaven here on earth. What Jesus wants for His church, here on earth, your heaven here is the life style you live daily, at home, at work and in public. We have no laws, only two commandments, love you're God, and love your neighbor, so remember every thing that Jesus died for and the kingdom of heaven is with in you,

in closing this commentary I will give you my vision for my life, it is scriptures in second peter 1:3, and 4.

2-Peter, 1:3, and 4.

V -3, As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,

V -4, " By which have given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partaker of the divine nature having excepted

the corruption that is in the.

world through lust

I believe that 2-Corinthians, 10: 3, 4, 5, 6, is a real silver bullet for anyone who wants to be a real successful Christian here on earth, it tells you how to pray successfully, how to pull down strongholds in family, friends, how to use scriptures, in our every day life, the word of God is for His people to use to have a peaceful and fulfilled life.

I started using these scriptures in my life and thing started happening so fast and God doing things for me that I did not ask for, but He knew what I needed, I give Him thanks and honor, for what He does for me and my family.

People need to watch what they say, for the words that come out of your mouth will defeat you everyday, start saying what God has said about you in His word, get the garbage out of your mouth, and the unrighteousness, for the words that you speak that are against Gods holy word are dirty filthy words.
