Gather Your Heart For Prayer
And Get The Mind Of Christ

Philippians 2:5: Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with
God: 7: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8: And being found in
fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even
the death of the cross.

Wandering Prayers?
Do your prayers wander at times? Ever had your mind get out of focus
during prayer? Well, that makes you normal. Sometimes that wandering is a
wandering of desire not just being tired or distracted. Getting the mind of Christ
can help desire stay focused. Our preferences interfere with His will.

Ephesians:4:17: This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye
henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind.

Other Gentiles?
Those that have not placed their lives in the hand of the Father
constantly wander. Remember those years? Remember when you sought
continually to find purpose in life. Prayer can be like that. At times
prayer can be a searching for purpose.

Eph:4:23: And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

Mind Renewal
Jesus focused on the will of the Father. We know He is our wisdom, our
strength, and our joy. When we get His mind (the mind and will of the
Father) on a situation, our prayers take a tremendously effective turn.

Years ago, I had a co-worker who resisted any conversation about God,
church, heaven, bible, or anything thought religious. I prayed for right
opportunity. Prior to a management meeting he came in one day and sat
across the desk from me. Immediately he began to talk about the child he
and his wife were going to have in not too many months. The doctors said
it had to be taken C-section. He desperately wanted a natural birth. It
was important to him and his wife. Instantly, I discerned what the Father
wanted. Boldly, I told him his child would be born natural as a
declaration of faith and a prayer simultaneously. The date for C-section
came closer. The night before, his wife checked into the hospital for
surgery at 7am the next morning. At 11pm my phone rang. He was ecstatic.
The baby was born natural. Today he is active in church, in faith in
Christ, and even teaches a Sunday school class. All because of the mind
of Christ in prayer instead of my mind. Who knows what I would have
prayed. But after years of prayer, I knew His mind and spoke it in faith.

Psalm 46: 4: There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the
city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. 5: God is in
the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right
early.

Gather Your Heart And Take Inventory

Do you have a prayer agenda that includes using the mind of Christ?

Have you ever prayed and been unable to keep moving forward?

Gather Your Heart And Take Action

On what one item will you seek the Father's will?

Gather Your Heart And Pray

Father, Jesus told me your Holy Spirit would bring all things to my
remembrance. That is truth. You encourage in Your word that I will have
the words to say in all circumstances. Jesus encouraged that Your Holy
Spirit would take from the resource of heaven and appropriate to me. Help
me, Father. Position me so clearly in your kingdom that my prayer is from
your heart, not according to my preference.

Keep on keepin' on.

Prayer is a process.

Keep pressing. Keep praying.

Be consistent and persistent.
