Gather Your Heart For Prayer And Get Connected

Romans 15:7 receive each other as Christ also received us to the GLORY of
God

Being Received
Receptions are wonderful events. Wedding receptions, baby showers,
retirement parties, house warmings, new worker receptions, graduate
receptions, and others help us mark the changes of life. They also mark
acceptance. They mark the fact that we are now accepted as different.
Two are now one couple. A family has a new member. It is time to go
ahead with a different approach to life. The new location is becoming a
home. The labors of another are added to ours. Education is
accomplished, and it is time to enter the work force or additional
education. We need to feel received and accepted at the changes in our
lives. Received and accepted means achieved and connected. Being
accepted feels glorious.

Being Rejected.
Rejection hurts. Whether it is losing an opportunity for a promotion or
not being selected for a ball team or someone saying no that you asked to
help you on a minor item. Rejection hurts. Rejection is a matter of
heart.

Rom:6:4: Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like
as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so
we also should walk in newness of life.

His Rejection My Connection
When I go to the Father in prayer, it is important to be connected. If I
am feeling rejected, put out, not a part, separated, alone, and
disconnected, I am not likely to approach with much faith. Jesus knew
that. The Father knew that.
2Cor:4:6: For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath
shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of
God in the face of Jesus Christ.
2Cor:5:21: For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we
might be made the righteousness of God in him.

He was rejected that we might be accepted. Accepted into His glory, into
His light, into His favor, into His plan, into His position.
Eph:2:6: And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in
heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Connections
Two trains were headed to the station. The engineers communicated ahead
approximate arrival time. One of the engineers turned off his radio and
went on to other tasks, not waiting for the acceptance message. The
second engineer stayed connected and left his radio in receive mode.
There was a problem on the rail coming in and the stationmaster needed to
communicate. The stationmaster called and received no answer from the
first engineer. On contacting the other engineer, he was rerouted and
connected at the station on time to get his next assignment. The first
train was halted by linemen before it derailed. The engineer was furious!
"What's the problem," he shouted at the lineman. "The stationmaster has
been trying to communicate with you for four hours," he was told. "Turn
you radio on." The engineer meekly called in and received more
information. No one was hurt but the delay was extensive as he had
passed the point at which he could have taken another route and had to
wait on rail repairs.

Connections are important. When we stay in receive mode, we can be
received also. When we drop receive mode, our prayers and lives can be
hindered. Just as Jesus receives us, we need to receive others. When
stay connected and open to reception with Him and those around us, we can
be hear His voice for direction and other's voices and participate with
them as co-laborers.

Gather Your Heart And Take Inventory

Have you shut down anywhere on your receive mode?

Do you feel rejected? Maybe you need to flip the receive switch.

Is there an area of life where God is trying to call you up and your
receive switch is off?

Gather Your Heart And Take Action
Think about one person (maybe Jesus) where the receive switch is off.
Turn it back on. Talk to them. Listen to them. Be accepted and
connected.

Gather Your Heart And Pray
Father, connect me. I know you receive me. I know you accept me. I know
Your mercies are new every morning and You are faithful even when I am
faithless. Help me to see where a switch needs turned around. Help me
to be enabled in my prayer and personal life so I can feel accepted and
received and turn the favor to others.
