Knowing God : Understanding life

The expressions of life seen with our eyes, heard with our ears, and
experienced with our flesh deceive reality. Sensory perception is skewed by
imperfection even in the redeemed. 1Cor:2:14: But the natural man receiveth
not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him:
neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

"All truth is parallel." Morris Cerullo.

Life can only be experienced fully at the level of the spirit man, the
hidden man of the heart. 1Pt:3:4: But let it be the hidden man of the heart,
in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet
spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. We err in
understanding life when our only senses with which we seek to understand it
are carnal, bodily, fleshly, and soulish. Understanding life and God takes
an activated spiritual sensory perception. What does carnal mean to you?
Is it always defineable? Life has to be sensed at the point of it's
origination and sustaining force, God, to be understood. We must know the
creator and preserver of life on His grounds. Heb:4:12: For the word of God
is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even
to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Discerning
Jack was stumped. This challenge was more than he had ever faced. Career
wise it was important that he conquer the dilemma handed him by upper
management. What could he do? The company needed a fresh approach to
employee training that enabled new workers to integrate rapidly and feel a
part of the team. He had never worked in training and development before.

As he sat that afternoon at his desk, his mind was blank. Then he began to
pray. "Father, I am unsure of what path to take. I am uncertain of where
to even start. Help me, please." Turning to his in basket, he thought to
divert his attention from the task for a moment to allow freshness. Piece
by piece he went through the mail and memos. His Sunday School lesson came
to mind. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child according to his natural bent and
when he is older he will not depart from it but continue in the good things
you have taught him. That was the clue for which he was looking. The
company approach was too exclusive. It only applied to a small portion of
the workers. With the new branches they now had workers of all different
types and needed a more flexible system of orientation that helped all of
them integrate. Now he could start on that project with confidence.

Jack though for a moment. How incredible was God in him. How incredible
was it that God would bring to mind the right scripture for his dilemma.
How incredible was it that God cared about him and his company and the
workers to not only have the answer but provide it to the task. Wow!

Genesis Revelation: Gen:1:20: And God said, Let the waters bring forth
abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above
the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
Gen:1:30: And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and
to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have
given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
Gen:2:7: And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Gen:2:9: And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is
pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst
of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Life in all forms is originated in God. He spoke it. He created it. It
shows Him to us. It is destined to a point in time in all forms to bring
about His plan - all creation.

Jesus Revelation: John:1:4: In him was life; and the life was the light of
men.

In Jesus, life is re-connected. The separation from Him in Adam broke the
touch point of the eternal to Adam's life. In Jesus we are resynchronized
with Him. Our life moves back on the right clocking and sequence. A clock
out of time, slow or fast or erratic, is not trusted. When we find Jesus,
our life clock is put back in time with the only true clock of life, God.

Taking Inventory
What dilemmas do you face that defy your answers?

Could some principle of life found in Jesus help?

Would you allow Him if He offered?

Has He ever brought light of life to a situation for you and you thanked
him?

Taking Action
Write out a simple problem you are facing. Nothing big. Just something
simple. Ask God for a principle in His word to apply. Jesus is the living
word. He is the light of life. Use it. Don't delay.

Prayer
Father, I am like Jack. I struggle daily with life items that defy my
abilities. Help me connect with Your abilities. Help me tap into Your
ideas and life. Apply the word to my daily decisions and open up avenues of
life from You to me to see my world change and know you better.
