Gen:6:12: And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for
all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
Deut:10:12: And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but
to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to
serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
Ps:145:17: The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
God's way is perfect and just, there is no error in it. Each of us has a
way about us that we can see. One is open and gregarious, another is
cloistered in relationships. One is controlling. One is submissive. One
is detailed. One is slovenly. Each of us has a way. So does God. His
ways are perfect.
He asks us to walk in His ways not our ways. That is strong medicine for
the soul. God's way is perfect, just, holy, righteous, kind, considerate,
thoughtful, bears all things, believes all things, endures all things,
never fails, is the way of love. To know Him is to know His ways.
He is just
Deut:32:4: He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are
judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
Justice means stability. Justice means we can count on Him to be
consistent. For the wicked that is not so good. For those who cast
themselves on His mercy, justice brings relief. Justice means exacting
results. Live for Him, and He lives for you. Oppose Him, He opposes you.
He is fair
Ps:113:7: He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out
of the dunghill;
Ps:145:14: The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that
be bowed down.
Ps:146:8: The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that
are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:
Not as we count fairness. His fairness is based on His system not ours.
When He sets us in this world, He gives us all we need to succeed. Each has
their measure. Each has their ability and strength to go with it. With a
hard lot, He gives strength. With a disability, He gives patience and
persistence. With luxury, He gives understanding and compassion. Not all
are put into "equal" circumstance, but all are created equal. All have what
it takes to succeed in their lot in life.
He is compassionate.
Lamentations 3:22: It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed,
because his compassions fail not. 23: They are new every morning: great is
thy faithfulness. 24: The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will
I hope in him. 25: The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul
that seeketh him.
And they never fail. He is good to all. None miss His love and opportunity
to be with Him. None are left out. Each man chooses his progress freely in
life. God's love is available to all.
Taking Inventory
Ever thought God was being unfair with you?
Look back at that time and think about how He brought you through?
Do you still have some residual resentment? Let it go.
Taking Action
Be a hand of God's love this week. When you get up in the morning, think of
one way some other Christian showed love to you this week. Do the same for
someone else.
Prayer
Father, let me see through the hard stuff. At times as I reevaluate my
progress, I can get so angry with myself and sometimes with You. Forgive me
for forgetting Your love for me. Forgive me for thinking You are not always
looking out for my best interest. Forgive me for calling You unfair. Let
me find the place of resting and recuperation in Your acceptance and
commitment to see me through all of life's challenges.
