Crumbs From the Table

TO THEM OF LIKE PRECIOUS FAITH

Deuteronomy 2:1-2 "And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt harken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and do all his commandments
which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: and all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt harken unto the voice of the LORD thy God."

So many times I have spoken on the blessings of the LORD and how we as Christians have been doubly blessed by God. As we should realize that God allows the rain of His basic blessings to fall upon the just and the unjust, but as our passage this morning tells us that the richest of God's blessings will only come upon those who hearken diligently unto His voice and observe and do His commandments. Then will not only God's blessings come upon you, but they shall overtake you. (Sounds like My cup runneth over!!!)

In Jesus Sermon on the Mount he said,...

..."Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of
heaven."
..."Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted."
..."Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth."
..."Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after ighteousness:
for they shall be filled."
..."Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy."
..."Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God."
..."Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the
children of God."
..."Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sakes:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
..."Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you and persecute you,
and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my
sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad: for great is your reward
in heaven..."

Through all these scriptures, Jesus speaks of an attitude that did not prevail at that time...an attitude of godliness...the attitude of
Christ. The Bible tells us to let this mind be in you which was also
in Christ Jesus. In short permit it to be so! Which means first that
we strive to know the will of God then strive to stay in the will of
God! Is the mind and attitude of Christ within you? If so then you
are truly blessed of God. If not, then nothing you can do, no matter
how great in the eyes of man, will find favor in the eyes of God.

Finally, when God does bless us, we must continue to stay humble
realizing all the blessings are possible because of God not of us.
For Ephesians 1:3 says, "Blessed be the God and father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with ALL spiritual blessings in
heavenly places in Christ."

Thank God today for His countless blessings!!!

Have a Blessed Day...Be PRAYERFUL and THANKFUL for all things!!!
