Crumbs From the Table

TO THEM OF LIKE PRECIOUS FAITH

Jude 24
"Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy."

Tomorrow is Good Friday, a day that is used to observe as the
anniversary of the crucifixion of Christ. Please notice if you will
that they call it Good Friday, not Bad Friday even though it seemed
like a dark day at that time. Why then Good Friday? Because God is
ABLE! Able to lay down His life in the person of His Son and pick it
up again. Do you know that there is no greater blessing than having a
God...the God who is able.

For do you know that today, some doctor
will give up on their patient, because they are not able. Some lawyer will watch their client go to jail because they are not able. Some mother or father will give up on their child because they are not able. Some person will go homeless and unfed because they are not able. Some person is pushed to the brink of suicide because they are not able.

But, yet, our passage says, "Now unto Him that is able... " This word
'able' means to have sufficient power, skill, or resources to
accomplish an objective. It speaks of being competent or fit to
handle the job. Do you know that many of us cannot progress or deal
with the problems in our lives because we or the people we depend on
are not fit to handle the job.

But there is one who IS ABLE!!! Able to what? "To keep you from
falling" What makes us fall? SIN! Yet, not only does He keeps us
from falling , but He will "present you faultless before the presence
of His glory with exceeding joy." God will raise you up!

Because we already have sinned or fallen it would seem that this
passage does us no good, but God has give us a perfect substitute who
has taken the penalty of sin for us that we might go free. So when
God looks at us it's as if we have never sinned or fallen. Of course
we are speaking of Jesus who covers us with His blood that we might be found faultless before the presence of God.

Needless to say, there will be exceedingly great joy!

Now, it would seem that if Jesus can take a low down, nasty, stinky
sinner as me and present me faultless before God. What can He do for
the little situations in your life? Before you trust in the doctor,
the lawyer, the job, or even yourself, put your trust in God in the
person of His Son for He is ABLE!!!

NOTE: Not only is HE ABLE, but Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God
provides above and beyond all that we think or ask!

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that
we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us."

WHAT A BLESSING!!!
