You know when we wake up some mornings it is just a struggle. A struggle to get up, a struggle with the family, a struggle with traffic, a struggle with our jobs...I tell you it is just struggle...
many times to even deal with life itself. It would seem that instead of us being a conquerors (victors) that we are being conquered. But should we complain? Should we be discouraged? I THINK NOT!!!
Why?
Well, Romans 8:37 says, "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." What things? If you read the previous verses and preceding verses you will find that Paul is speaking of what shall separate us from the love of Christ. Then he
starts to lists some things...tribulation, distress, persecution, depth or height, and the list goes on, but the conclusion to the whole matter is that none of these things shall separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord, not even death.
What am I trying to say is that we who are in Christ should not be defeated by the things of this world. We are the victors! We are conquerors!
Yes, there is a war going on, but to be conquerors we must be prepared for battle. Ephesians 6:11-18 tells us how we must be equipped. We must...
...have our loins girt about with truth
...have on the breastplate of righteousness
...have our feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace
...take hold of the shield of faith wherewith we shall be able to
quench all the fiery darts of the wicked
...put on the helmet of salvation
...take hold of the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God and
...pray always with prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watch thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints!
Even though the battle rages on, we can shout today, because we are conquerors. In the midst of struggles on our jobs, in our homes, and in our lives, we can shout, because God has given us the victory, we are CONQUERORS! We will not be defeated, not because of us, but because of Him! These minor skirmishes may slow us, but never stop us, because we have the victory. It is ours already in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Saviour!
NOTE: Today is April 1st...April Fool's Day, a day that people try to trick you or fool you! But...do you know that everyday is a Fool's Day for Satan! Everyday he is trying to trick and fool people into believe that His way is the only way. As Christians, we are not exempt form His trickery and deception, he tried it on Jesus in the
wilderness and he will do it to you. As soldiers of the Cross our training prepares us to deal with tactics of the enemy. Have you been training lately, reading your manual, the Bible? For it is God's Word that teaches us about the enemy's tactics, how to use our weapons, and
what we need to put on and take off. If you don't study you don't know!
Remember the greatest leader can only lead you to victory if you follow orders! Are you following orders...Godly orders?
