Prov 17:22 (KJS) A merry heart doeth good [like] a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones
CHAPTER ONE "WORK"
- He that hath not - Work not!

- Prov 18:9 (NASU) He also who is slack in his work Is brother to him who destroys.
- Prov 21:25 (NASU) The desire of the sluggard puts him to death, For his hands refuse to work;
- Prov 6:9 (NASU) How long will you lie down, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep? 10 "A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest"-- 11 Your poverty will come in like a vagabond And your need like an armed man.
- Prov 10:4 (NASU) Poor is he who works with a negligent hand, But the hand of the diligent makes rich.
- Work and ye shall receive
- Prov 22:29(NASU) Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before obscure men.
- Prov 24:27(NASU) Prepare your work outside And make it ready for yourself in the field; Afterwards, then, build your house.
- God can work miracles-are you working with Him?

CHAPTER TWO "FRIENDS"
- You can't be cranky if you don't have a crank handle

- Prov 11:12 (NASU) He who despises his neighbor lacks sense, But a man of understanding keeps silent.
- Prov 12:13 (NASU) An evil man is ensnared by the transgression of his lips, But the righteous will escape from trouble.
- Prov 13:3 (NASU) The one who guards his mouth preserves his life; The one who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.
- Prov 15:4 (NASU) A soothing tongue is a tree of life, But perversion in it crushes the spirit.
- Prov 16:24 (NASU) Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
- Prov 17:27 (NASU) He who restrains his words has knowledge, And he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding. 28 Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise; When he closes his lips, he is [considered] prudent.
- Prov 18:6 (NASU) A fool's lips bring strife, And his mouth calls for blows. 7 A fool's mouth is his ruin, And his lips are the snare of his soul.
- Prov 21:23 (NASU) He who guards his mouth and his tongue, Guards his soul from troubles.
- Prov 29:20 (NASU) Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

CHAPTER THREE "YOUR LIPS"
Keep an open ear not an open mouth
- Prov 1:5 (NASU) A wise man will hear and increase in learning, And a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel,
