I'VE ALREADY DECIDED

I already know what I'm gonna do,
When the storm clouds darken my way;
I will trust in the Lord with all my heart,
And wait for a better day.

I already know what I'm gonna do,
If ever I should stagger and fall;
I will get right up and confess my sin
And declare Jesus is Lord of all.

I already know where I'm gonna stand,
When the sun refuses to shine;
I'll dig a little deeper in God's love
And tell the world Jesus is mine.

I can tell you now what I'm gonna say,
when the devil challenges my life;
I'll remind him that I'm hid in Christ
And abiding in him, there is no strife.

I can tell you now what I'm gonna do,
Tho skin worms devour this body of mine;
I'll remember the Spirit of God has made me
And His breath breathed into me life.

I already know what I'm gonna do,
When temptations sweep in like a flood;
I will lift high the banner of Christ
And shout "my sins are under the blood".

I can tell you now what I'm gonna be,
Should all the world go astray;
I'll keep serving the best that I can
And wait for the Great Crowning Day!

I'VE BEEN IN THE PIT

I've been in the pit
I know what its like
To be walking in darkness
And never see light.

I've drunk the dregs of its bitterness,
I've suffered its deepest pains.
There was no hope to be found there,
Only winds of adversity, blowing with rain.

I looked all around me and saw on the walls,
Inscriptions of heroes that now stand tall.
Names like Joseph, Job, Daniel, and Paul,
Each declaring deliverance, its provided for all.

The way out is Jesus, He cleanses from sin,
It comes with repentance, then new life begins.
I called upon Jesus and He heard my cry,
He lifted me from the pit to a home in the sky.

No more pit for me nor drinking dregs of sin,
My life is hidden in Jesus, he now lives within.
I now live on the mountain top,
peace is found at last,
Life is exciting with Jesus, I'm having a blast.
