How to study the Bible:
- First - Pray
- Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you an instruct you in your studies(John 14:26 (KJS) But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.)
- Second - Look at your spiritual life and how others are affected by you.
- If you can walk without stumbling then other around you will not stumble.(John 11:9 (KJS) Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. 10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.)
- Third- Decide to be honest with yourself
- Where in your walk with God do you lack understanding. (Prov 2:10 (KJS) When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; 11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: )
Now lets begin:
- There are topical studies, word studies, and there are studies that will supply reason to the acts of God. These studies will help you understand the ways of God.
- The people who followed Moses in the wilderness saw God's acts, but Moses saw and understood God's ways. Since you now have been recreated and have the mind of Christ, you too can know the ways of the LORD.
- The Bible will interpret itself if you have a complete understanding of it and God's ways.
Gather the wisdom that God has given to men and women over the centuries and glean from their studies with the Holy Spirit.

You may want a good Bible study program for your PC.
I have used many in my ventures to understand the word of God better.
- Bible Soft
- Logos Software
- Quick Verse
- Word for Windows
- Parsons Technology
- Bible Companion Series
They all have their merits and all provide good search capabilities plus some built-in commentaries mentioned above. But my preference is the Seed Master or better know as the BCS, Bible Companion Series. This software not only provides great search capabilities and commentaries but it also provides for you a way to dig deep into the Word of God with various enhancements not found in the others. All the formats and information contained on this page will come from studies done using the BCS software.
I also use the Parsons Technology software which I find very helpful. The Holman Bible Dictionary is very informative. Bible Illustrator , PC Bible Atlas and many more fine products.
